Research portfolio

The NIHR CRN is building a complete picture of the clinical research currently taking place across the UK.  Details of studies that meet specific eligibility criteria are recorded in the NIHR CRN Clinical Research Portfolio, which comprises the NIHR portfolio in England and the corresponding portfolios of Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales.

The Department of Health has tasked the PCRN to co-ordinate the delivery of research studies in primary care and to improve the speed, quality and integration of research in the East Midlands and South Yorkshire area.

Our portfolio studies are interesting, directly linked to patient benefit and scientifically sound. The Department of Health envisages that most high-quality research in primary care will be co-ordinated by the networks and offered to network members.
