Michelle Horspool - Locality Manager

Michelle completed her BA (Hons) degree in Mental Health Nursing Studies in 1996. Specialising in substance misuse, she worked predominantly as a Clinical Nurse Specialist within primary care. In 2001, she was appointed Executive Committee Member for North Sheffield PCT and served for three years. Having registered to do a PHD in 2003, Michelle moved into clinical research in 2004, as a Specialist Research Nurse, before returning to work as a Clinical Nurse Specialist in 2006. She was appointed Locality Manager for the South Yorkshire hub of PCRN EMSY in 2007 and awarded a PhD in 2008. |

Margaret Clarke - Clinical Studies Development Officer

Margaret qualified as an RGN in 1991 and worked in a variety of clinical settings in primary and secondary care. She completed her BA (Hons) Health Care Practice in 2001 and worked as a Research Sister at the Metabolic Bone Centre Clinical Trials unit at the Northern General Hospital for two and a half years. Â She then undertook a BA (Hons) Community Specialist Practitioner (Public Health) in 2004 and worked for four years as a health visitor, initially for Barnsley PCT and for the past two years in Cyprus for SSAFA and the MOD. Â Margaret is Clinical Studies Development Officer for Rotherham PC,T where she will act as a resource and provide support to GPs and Primary Health Practitioners involved in the recruitment of patients and delivery of portfolio studies. |

Sarah Nutbrown - Clinical Studies Development Officer

Sarah completed a BSc (Hons) Nursing Studies (adult) in 2005. Since qualifying as a Registered Nurse, she has worked in a variety of settings, mainly critical care and intensive care units. In the summer of 2009, Sarah commenced an MSc in Clinical Research Administration, which she is continuing to study. In December 2009, she began working as a Clinical Studies Development Officer within Doncaster PCT. In this role she will be acting as a resource and providing support to GPs and primary healthcare professionals involved in the recruitment of patients and delivery of portfolio studies in the Doncaster area. |
